Functionality
Q: How is the geographical coverage of the services?
EasyDQ provides cleansing functions that can deal with almost
all contact data from around the world. More than 240 countries are
covered with extensive knowledge in our services.
An exception to the rule is the Name service as it is used in
Data Improver. Data Improver is a highly specialized application,
which means that it only supports names from Germany, United
Kingdom, Belgium and The Netherlands.
Q: Which character sets are supported?
All services accept UTF-8 encoded strings. UTF-8 includes both
latin characters as well as other alphabets. Obviously the results
that the services give depend on the input characters.
Support for different character sets (aka. 'writing sets')
differ among the services, since they deal with different domains
which have different character set characteristics:
- Name cleansing: All character sets supported.
- Address cleansing: Support differs per country. In general,
latin characters are always supported. For some regions other
characters are also supported.
- Phone cleansing: Only numbers and symbols supported.
- Email cleansing: All character sets supported.
- Duplicate detection: All character sets supported.
Privacy and security
Q: Are the online Data Quality services secure?
Yes, all EasyDQ.com service invocations are transmitted using
HTTPS/SSL, which means that your data will be encrypted and that
the network server will be securely identified. This effectively
means that your data is not humanly readable and that you don't
need to worry about it ending up in the wrong hands.
Q: How will my data be treated by Human Inference?
Human Inference uses a privacy and security awareness policy
that applies to all data processing procedures. Customer data will
only be stored by Human Inference when needed for the functionality
of the services. If the data is no longer needed, it will be
deleted automatically.
In short, your data will never be shared with any third parties
or be used by Human Inference for internal purposes. Please refer

Q: I have an application that I would like to enhance with
EasyDQ.com functions, how do I do that?
Our DQ services can be integrated into most applications.
Depending on the application and the nature of the involvement,
Human Inference can assist in doing the integration or you can do
it yourself.
All services are exposed using secure (HTTPS/SSL) SOAP web
services. For some specific services additional integration options
exist.
If your application is web/html based then we have a specialized
Javascript API which allows for integration into forms within just
minutes of work.
